I’m an Orthodox theologian, American and living in Finland. I have a background in comparative religion, church history, history of Christian liturgy, history of Christian theology, history of Christian-Jewish relations, intra-Christian relations. I’ve been an acting professor of church history here, an acting lecturer in Orthodox theology and patristics (here as well), as well as head of the Eastern Orthodox theological house in Cambridge, UK. Before all that, I taught church history and history of worship in a Protestant theological school in the United States.

This blog is an outlet for my reflections on the practice of theology, a goad to my writing.
